This policy complies with the European Union consumer protection regulations, including Directive 2011/83/EU and Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005 (“Consumer Code”).
Our products are made to order and may be customized or produced upon specific customer request. For this reason, certain return rights are limited, as explained below.
2. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
Under EU law, consumers generally have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 calendar days of delivery without giving any reason.
However, according to Article 59, paragraph 1(c) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), this right does not apply to the supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized — including products produced on demand (POD or made-to-order).
Therefore, some products sold on our website are non-refundable once production has begun, unless they are defective or not as described.
3. Exceptions: Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Items

- Photos of the item(s) and the packaging
- A brief description of the issue
- We will assess the issue and, where applicable, offer a replacement or refund at no extra cost.
- If the product must be returned, we will provide instructions and cover return shipping only if the product is confirmed defective or incorrect.
4. Refund Conditions
- Refunds are issued only for items that are defective, damaged, or not as described.
- Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
- Refunds are made within 14 days of receiving the returned item(s) or proof of shipment.
- If the refund is approved, you will receive an email confirmation once it has been processed.
5. Items Not Eligible for Refund
- Customized or personalized items (including made-to-order wall art or designs made on demand).
- Items that have been used, damaged by the customer, or returned without original packaging.
- Orders returned without prior authorization.
- Orders refused or abandoned due to unpaid customs duties or import taxes.
6. Return Procedure (if applicable)
- Contact us via email at info@specialwallart.com to request authorization before returning any item.
- Once approved, you will receive a return address and instructions.
- Pack the product carefully in its original packaging and send it using a tracked shipping service.
- Unless otherwise stated, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
7. Customs Duties and International Returns
- Import duties, customs fees, and local taxes are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable.
- If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid duties or taxes, the original shipping cost and any return fees will be deducted from the refund amount (if applicable).
8. Late or Missing Refunds
- If you have not received a refund after 14 days from confirmation, first check your bank or PayPal account again.
- Then contact your payment provider; processing times may vary depending on the payment method.

9. Color and Material Disclaimer
Due to differences in lighting, screen calibration, and production processes, actual colors and finishes may slightly differ from the product images displayed on our website. Such variations are not considered defects and are not eligible for refunds.
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays, losses, or inability to fulfill orders due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, shipping delays, or government restrictions.
